The adaptable full length or cropped Atca Trousers combine cool and protective Parameta A Cotton+ fabric with secure pocketing and excellent freedom of movement for a wide range of activities. The Atcas provide protection and cooling in one easy care, tough garment.

All Parameta A fabrics wick very effectively, rapidly spreading perspiration over a large area to provide maximum evaporation in order to keep you cool at higher temperatures. It blocks virtually all damaging UV rays, and the dense weave deters biting insects.

Technical Features

1. Very adaptable to different conditions as legs can be rolled and secured for cropped trouser ‘conversion’.
2. Articulation at knees allows unrestricted leg movement but with slim and flattering feminine fit.
3. Secure and unobtrusive pocketing:
   • two front “jeans style” hand pockets;
   • secret zipped pocket within hip pocket;
   • secure, slimline cargo pocket on left thigh;
   • discreet, zipped pocket on right thigh.
4. Belted waistband with zip and button fly and subtle elastication at sides for good fit.
5. Quick and easy to wash and dry.
6. Leg hem can be lengthened or shortened.

The Parameta A fabric used for Páramo trek and travel wear provides superior performance for warm weather. As well as feeling light and cool, it is designed to actively cool you by spreading perspiration to prevent pooling and using every last drop of perspiration to cool you. The dense weave not only blocks virtually all harmful UV rays but also very effectively deters biting insects. Many other ‘insect deterrent’ fabrics use a treatment which will wash out after only a few uses. It dries very rapidly making it ideal for travel and expeditions when washing facilities may be limited.

What if I damage my Páramo^® clothing?

Simple repairs can often be done with a needle and thread without compromising the performance of your garment. If it is seriously damaged, you can send it back to Páramo and request a quote for having it repaired.

In what kind of weather conditions can I use my Atca Trousers?

The Parameta A Cotton+ fabric is cool and rapid-drying, spreading perspiration laterally to keep you cool. It provides UV protection so is ideal for warm, sunny weather.

Because the fabric is designed to wick effectively, the trousers may be less comfortable in cold, wet conditions. In harsh or changeable conditions, we suggest a pair of waterproof trousers using Nikwax Analogy fabric for all day comfort.
